After selling out a small run of tapes the year of its initial release, New Jersey indie rock outfit Tawny Peaks' self-titled debut full length is back in print for the first time in years on a special limited edition Cassette Store Day pressing.
Consisting of Charlie Perris (vocals), Molly Grund (vocals), Jonah Fried (bass, vocals), Sam Skinner (guitar), and Dexter Loos (drums), the band's debut album (recorded and produced by Skinner) showcased strong song-writing chops in the vein of American Football and Pedro The Lion, with the poise of Piebald and heart of The Promise Ring.
The band went on to release one final album before calling it quits in 2014. Since, members have gone on to join and/or perform with bands such as Alex G and Pinegrove.
Limited to just 100 copies, the Cassette Store Day edition of Tawny Peaks features high-quality, pro-dubbed green-tint tapes with white shell imprinting and a full color 3 panel j-card, housed in a clear cassette case. Includes download code.
