Gunk is a three-piece that plays 90's indie in the 20teens. It’s definitely informed by the 90s, ..but it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what the influence is. Some tracks play like an updated version of late 70s punk filtered through Ty Segall’s psyche and transplanted into a basement. Occasional cues from groups like Jawbox and 'The Bends'-era Radiohead. It overflowing with that 90's punk’d up bummer spirit, and that occasional lo-fi pop-punk aesthetic of Waaves and Cloud Nothings, but a more post-punk vocal style.
