The wait is finally over. We're extremely proud to announce the first-ever vinyl pressing of Milwaukee non-denominational punk band Scowler's debut EP, "How To Find Light."
Originally released in 2013, "How To Find Light" marked the start of undoubtedly one of the most exciting bands we've ever seen. With influences ranging from Fugazi, Refused, and At The Drive-In, and fresh and forward-thinking dynamics, Scowler took the Midwestern underground scene by storm before their demise in 2016, leading Joyce Manor to once tweet "...they were so fucking good. Sounded like some tight ass Antioch Arrow shit."
Now, for the release's 5th anniversary, we're pleased to offer it for the first time on super limited edition lathe cut vinyl, cut in Hi-Fi stereo audio using a specialized feedback cutterhead for maximum sound quality.
This clear LP is limited to just 50 copies, and features expanded packaging with live photos, lyrics, credits, and a special note from the band printed on collectible post cards.
The band broke up before they were truly able to take the world by storm, but their spirit will live on forever. We're extremely grateful to have worked with the band during their existence and to have the opportunity to share the incredible music they left behind.
"The shrieky, piercing vocals, cryptic, enticing lyrics, throttling guitar riffs, absolutely gorgeous bass lines and radass drumming come together to form something stunning."
